Day 1
Day 2
day 1
Early morning departure by train from your local station (Bologna, Modena, Reggio Emilia, or Parma). During the trip, we will make two brief stops for a cappuccino/coffee and restroom break in Parma and La Spezia.
We will arrive in Corniglia at around 10:40 AM. After dropping off our luggage at the hotel, you will have free time to explore the ancient seaside village of Corniglia. Lunch is on your own at local restaurants or food shops, where we can get our first taste of Ligurian cuisine—including the famous trofie or trenette pasta with pesto, warm focaccia, farinata, and anchovies prepared in every way imaginable (marinated in lemon, fried, salted, or stuffed).
We will head back to the hotel at 2:00 PM for check-in. Afterward, we’ll catch the local train to Vernazza to explore the village and its harbor.
At 5:00 PM, we will board a boat to see the Cinque Terre from the water as sunset approaches. We will stop at the best vantage points to take photos from the boat while enjoying an aperitivo with local Cinque Terre white wine and Ligurian focaccia.
The boat will drop us off in Riomaggiore, where you’ll have free time to stroll through the village streets before taking the local train back to our accommodations in Corniglia.
The evening is open for you to enjoy dinner at a local restaurant, featuring fresh seafood and other regional specialties.

day 2
In the morning, we will enjoy a rich gourmet breakfast on our B&B's beautiful ocean-view terrace, featuring freshly baked, warm croissants and other delicious local dishes prepared on the spot by the chef.
After checking out, we’ll leave our bags at the B&B and take the local train to the village of Riomaggiore. A private cooking class awaits us here, where we’ll learn to make authentic Genoese pesto with fresh basil and traditional Ligurian focaccia.
Afterward, we will eat what we’ve prepared together while sipping a glass of local white wine.
Following lunch, we will head down toward the Riomaggiore waterfront to begin our walk along the Via dell’Amore (the Path of Love). This iconic trail, built along the historic railway line overlooking the blue waters of the Cinque Terre, has recently reopened after extensive restoration. It offers a breathtaking walk through tunnels and along cliffs high above the sea.
This scenic path brings us to the small village of Manarola, another colorful gem of the Cinque Terre. Here, we can relax along the village streets or by the harbor cliffs, enjoying a refreshing lemon shell filled with gelato.
Finally, we will take the local train back to our B&B to pick up our luggage and begin our journey home—with our eyes still full of the region's colors and unforgettable memories of its aromas and flavors.
